First firing of the bake oven in our "1600s fireplace"

We recently finished our fireplace and laid plans to use it's bake oven to prepare a meal. Visable near the center of this photo, this first firing of the oven can be seen built in the back wall of the hearth.

Cornish hens and dressing in wrought iorn kettles. A sucess with our first use of the bake oven preparing our Thanksgiving Day 2000 feast.
