It is a gorgeous Dk Bay and White, (almost Black and White) Tobiano Colt by Cherokee Treasured out of Palinode by Aloma's Ruler!!She foaled this morning about 6 AM, no problems and the boy is up and nursing on his big long legs. Both parents are over 16 hands so this one should be a tall one for sure and was especially bred as an excellent Paint race prospect. Cherokee Treasured is royally well bred, being by Treasured, all time money winning sire of Paints out of a daughter of Cherokee Indian, a legend in the Paint breed. Palinode, herself is a winner at the track of over $57,000 and sired by Aloma's Ruler (Preakness Winner) and out of a race winning mare by the great Nodouble. Most of you already know Palinode as the dam of Aloma's Reality, the filly in Dubai and of Minstrel's Pal, the colt that will leave for Dubai this Fall for racing. We are really excited about this colt as he will be a potential race winner in the Paint racing program. One thing I am seeing with ALL of these Cherokee babies is there sweet, inquisitive, dispositions!
