Sonny Dear was raised by Lois Aicholtz of New Haven Mo. She is sired by Sunny Songster, a graded Stakes Winner of $156,000. He is by Dewan by Bold Ruler and won the Omaha Gold Cup and the Keenland Futurity among others. Sunny Dear herself, won at Fairmont Park and placed second when sent to race in Texas. Sonny Dear's Dam, also once raised a healthy set of TB twins.
