Colt by Cherokee Treasured | |

We regret to say that we lost this foal just prior to weaning in a freak accident. He flipped over backwards and broke his neck. We had alot of high hopes for him. Arriving at 1:30 AM on Sat Apr. 22, 2000, this our third foal born at the farm. His dam is my daughters barrel mare, Sonny Reed Azure. Her sire is AQHA Jr. World Champion/Barrels Wind Azure. I went out to check on her just as she started her labor and was able to have our older two daughters and one of their friends watch the delivery. She had a great big stud colt. He is marked very much like his sire on one side and spotted more on the other. He is bay/brown and white. Interesting note, we shipped semen today, to Littleheart, a AA daughter of Easy Jet Two. Our colt born almost the same day has a heart on his forehead. These pictures are at 12 hours old. I will get better pictures up when he starts to fill out. He is still a little wobbly and doesn't know what to do with his long legs. |
